Robert Mugabe has been president of Zimbabwe for 37 years, and was among the longest-serving presidents on the continent. Other longest serving African leaders include Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea, Paul Biya of Cameroon, and Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda.
