Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the area, Nana Appiah Korang who confirmed the incident to mynewsgh.com, gave the names of the victims as Mohammed Mustapha and Sulaiman MohammedNana Appiah Korang expressed his condolence to the two volunteer watchdog committee members shot by the armed robbers. He wished the injured victims a speedy recovery and prayed for God’s blessings on the entire 18-member volunteer watchdog committee urging them to remain resolute in these trying times. The Assemblyman of the Elmina Zongo, Ishawu Yayaha thanked the MCE for his kind gesture. He appealed to the MCE to do everything within his powers to deploy policemen to Elmina Zongo as it is noted for criminal activities.
