Zia Charitable Trust graft case hearing adjourned for around a month amid tension

The judge, Md Akhtaruzzaman, was hearing the arguments in the case amid heightened tensions ahead of the delivery of the verdict of Zia Orphanage Trust graft case, in which also Khaleda is an accused. The ACC started the Zia Charitable Trust graft case in 2010 against the BNP chief and three others for embezzlement of Tk 31.5 million. Harris has been absconding since the case was started while Munna and Monirul made appearances in court. After the State presented its arguments on Tuesday, Aminul Islam, the lawyer for Munna, started presenting his arguments. Judge Akhtaruzzaman replied he would not hear the case anymore in the day and adjourned the hearing until Feb 25.
