I just imagine where the country would be if we could harness the minds, creativity and spirit of children and young people. I realised at a very young age that even though we were all children, somehow my life and theirs were different. Violence against children is an important issue because it affects about one in two children in Kenya. And about ongoing conflict in parts of the world, where we are unable to reach children with even the most basic services. And the passion, determination and creativity of children and young people for a better world gives me great hope.
