BEIJING: Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi will begin his working visit to China on Monday. The Deputy Prime Minister is here to attend the 86th General Assembly of Interpol, which will be opened by Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday. During his three-day visit, Dr Ahmad Zahid would also pay a courtesy call on Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, among others, said the Foreign Affairs Ministry in a statement on Sunday. This general assembly, themed "Connecting Police for a Safer World", will focus on efforts in providing an effective communication platform among its 157 member states in information sharing while enhancing the capacity to combat international crime. "The country will focus on issues related to cybercrime which has resulted in the loss of millions of ringgit," the statement said.
