The construction industry is considered as one of the world's most booming industries and it grows steadily every year with more than 80% of its workers being males. Yet, only a few women pursue an engineering career and fewer of them take up roles in construction. In the construction industry, women still face challenges like gender bias, lack of adequate resources and benefits, stereotypes and social perceptions. Young girls often lack role models to look up for in the construction industry. Clearly, it is evident that the industry needs women in order to thrive.
