Phone snatchedThe police have detained the accused duo who claimed that the victim Dinesh alias Mangu had hit them on February 17 when they argued with him on the field, while playing for a rival team. The victim was on a two-wheeler with another friend, who had a close shave when the shots were fired. Witnesses told the police that three men on another two-wheeler approached Dinesh and opened fire on him. Even as he was bleeding, the trio again shot him and drove away before his friend could raise an alarm.
