Incidentally, members of the Bangladesh national team which were touring at the time were merely 50 yards away from approaching the mosque for Friday prayers and were saved by the bell from the horrendous attack. After winning the second youth ODI of their tour convincingly, the young Tigers accompanied by members of the coaching staff visited the Al Noor Mosque to attend Friday prayers in a gesture of paying respect. Hannan Sarker, manager of the Bangladesh U-19 side took to his personal Facebook account to post photos of their visit. Three Bangladeshi nationals were reportedly killed while a bus carrying 17 members of the Bangladesh cricket team were minutes away from being inside the Al Noor Mosque where the fatal mass shooting took place.
