For all of you out there who got excited when Steven Spielberg mentioned the possibility of a female Indiana Jones or get excited when someone mentions the possibility of a female James Bond, well, where the heck were you? We actually had a pretty great female James Bond flick last summer. The internet got excited for a female Indiana Jones right as they were ignoring a rock-solid “female Indiana Jones” movie in the form of the new Tomb Raider. If you’re going to ignore the new Lara Croft movie, then you don’t deserve a female Indiana Jones flick. And if you turned your nose at Red Sparrow and Atomic Blonde, then you haven't really earned or justified a female James Bond franchise, either.
