Research found diners from God’s Own County are most likely to go super-spicy when they order an Indian. In Birmingham – home of the balti – and Wales, just under a quarter went for the fieriest options. Bradford has been named Britain’s curry capital six years in a row, while in neighbouring Leeds a host of eateries have been laden with awards. The same poll found one in 10 Brits have a curry at least three times a week. Those diners are most likely to hail from the North West – home to the Curry Mile in Rusholme, Manchester.
