Finally, after months of geopolitical skirmishing, the main event of the early Trump Presidency is upon us as Xi Jinping prepares to check in to the "Winter White House" at Mar-a-Lago, Florida. China's approach to these sorts of negotiations is fairly well understood, and seems so far to be conforming to expectations.
