Steve Wynn may be long gone from Wynn Resorts, but his strategy of controlling the narrative still dominates the company. When Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) publicly announced a complaint and subsequent stipulation for settlement regarding the sexual harassment allegation against Steve Wynn and the company, Wynn Resorts (Wynn) put out a PR Newswire entitled "Nevada Gaming Control Board and Wynn Resorts Agree to Settlement." As allegations of Mr. Wynn emerged last year, Wynn separated itself from the founder, turned over its board of directors, got rid of employees and senior people who covered up the allegations, and renamed the casino project Encore Boston Harbor. It should be noted that the previous Massachusetts attorney general, Martha Coakley, wrote an Opinion piece in the Boston Globe calling Wynn "unsuitable." That decision and Wynn's settlement/fine with Nevada, puts the MGC decision at center stage.
