PETALING JAYA: The wreckage of the Hawk 108 fighter jet, which crashed half and hour after taking off on Thursday, was found near Kampung Yak Yah in Terengganu Friday morning. Search and rescue team personnel, which included officers from the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF), were sent to the scene and confirmed the discovery of the wreckage at 10.27am. The jet took off from the RMAF base in Kuantan at 11am on Thursday and disappeared from radar half and hour later. Mej Yazmi Mohamed Yusof, 39, who was buried at the Titiwangsa Muslim Cemetery on Friday morning, leaves behind a wife and six children. Mej Hasri Zahari, 31, was buried at the Felda Lui Muda Muslim Cemetery in Jempol, Negri Sembilan, and leaves behind a wife and a child.
