PETALING JAYA: Barisan Nasional has countered Lim Guan Eng's latest defence on why Penang is not becoming a failed state, saying that the Penang Chief Minister's answers are evasive. In his latest statement, Lim cited several reasons why Penang is not becoming a failed state. "We fail to see how hard it is or how it is considered good governance to sell off state land and assets for revenue to pay Raya bonus, which is an operating expense," said Barisan. Lim had also said that the state government practises the open tender system. Barisan replied that the two examples above of selling state land and assets without open tender "already proves his claim wrong".
