It comes as no surprise to us outside of the US that President Trump continues to make these statements. I fervently hope that in their dealings with President Trump, world leaders will not be as naïve or as blind as so many of his followers. To hear the Health Minister, or read about members of the Garda or a nurse, our frontline workers, having to endure this disgusting and disgraceful attack on their person(s) is putrid. These are the very same people in a time of crisis who will look to our frontline workers to assist them when they have difficulties. When Covid-19 has been beaten we will forget the frontline workers, so the time to reward their commitment is now.
