Working with the Sallies brings great joyLIU CHEN / STUFF Helen Yan, standing in front of the Christadelphians Church in Pakuranga that she attends, says she's living a more fulfilled life than before. Volunteering at the Salvation Army East City Corps helped Helen Yan find the meaning of life again. Life went by with her busy working as a computing tutor and on house chores, but she always felt something was not right. One day after playing badminton, she visited the Salvation Army office in Howick out of curiosity and started volunteering there shortly after, finding out it's a place helping people in need. They're a most important part of the Salvation Army, as without a caring team of volunteers we could not serve our community," Davies says.
