Bangladesh postal service will soon get women drivers during the next recruitment cycle, according to the State Minister for Posts and Telecommunications Tarana Halim. The state minister said they will fill 20% of the driving posts with women at “HerStory: Women Trailblazers” exhibition held at the EMK Centre on Saturday. During the inauguration of the exhibition dedicated to a hundred years of female leadership in Bangladesh, Tarana said: “Women are efficient making them safer drivers and less accident prone. They will help make the roads safer for everyone.”Energies Group, in collaboration with EMK Centre organised the exhibition to mark International Women’s Day. The framework of the exhibition is a timeline of outstanding women who made lasting contributions in the fields of science, politics, economics, arts and letters.
