A young woman was rushed to King George Hospital (KGH) with horrific burn injuries on Tuesday night. The woman, identified as B. Kavya (25), a resident of Sivajipalem, told the police she was walking home from work when she suffered a ‘freak mishap’. MVP Police Station inspector S. Lakshmoji said that they received information regarding a woman suffering burn injuries at 11 p.m., around half an hour after the incident. “In her statement, Ms. Kavya said while waiting at a bus stop to return home, her dress accidentally got soaked in some fuel, suspected to be kerosene. Ms. Kavya suffered 60% burn injuries in the incident.
