ALOR STAR: The woman, who stunned Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital staff by leaping from the 5th floor of the hospital building yesterday, is suffering from depression. In the 5.30pm incident yesterday, the hospital staff had a rude shock when the woman climbed over the window and stood at 5th floor ledge of the hospital building. A security guard tried to coax her to get back into the building but the woman shoved her away before she jumped off the building. The woman, however, survived the fall as she had apparently landed on the 2nd floor roof of the hospital, sustaining a broken backbone. Kedah Health Department director Dr Norhizan Ismail was reported as saying that the woman came to the hospital to visit a friend who is warded.
