A woman is seriously injured after a crash on North Eyre Rd, Swannanoa, in rural North Canterbury. A woman has been seriously injured in a crash in rural North Canterbury. Emergency services were called about 9am on Wednesday to the crash on North Eyre Rd in Swannanoa, about 15 kilometres west of Kaiapoi. It was a single car crash and only one person was in the car, a police spokeswoman said. Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman Mau Barbara said a woman was trapped and firefighters cut her out of the car.
