Colleen Brown knew something was seriously wrong when she saw a car drift across an intersection and crash. The Waikato woman was driving to work on December 7 when she witnessed the accident on Miranda Rd, near Kaiaua. The woman, who didn't want to be named, was on her way home to Auckland after working in Tauranga. She was thankful that the woman had decided to take a shortcut home through the quiet, rural back road.
