The woman’s brother said a local drug addict named Md Shakil broke into his sister’s home and raped her early Tuesday. When she screamed for help, locals came and rescued her, but Shakil managed to flee the scene. The woman filed a written complaint with police in this regard Tuesday afternoon, said Kaliakair police station Sub-Inspector Mukti Mahmud. The rape suspect has fled town but we will soon arrest him.”
