The durgmakers on Tuesday said that they expect to start clinical trials for the vaccine in the second half of this year. If successful, the vaccine would be available in the second half of 2021. The announcement came at a time when durgmakers are pausing clinical trials for other disease areas as they focus on testing potential treatments for coronavirus. The adjuvanted vaccine will be developed by combining Sanofi’s S-protein Covid-19 antigen and GSK’s pandemic adjuvant technology.
