Emergency services were called to a person who fell at Back Beach. A woman was taken to hospital from the sand dunes end of Back Beach with an injured knee. ANDY JACKSON/STUFF A woman was injured when she fell down the stairs at Beack Beach on Tuesday. A Fire and Emergency Services spokesperson said they contacted the police because they did not have a suitable vehicle. A St John spokeswoman said the patient was taken to Taranaki Base Hospital with moderate injuries.
