Police have released the name of the pedestrian who died after being hit by a car in Greymouth. Julie Maria Davies (54), of Cobden, died after being hit by a car on Bright St. Emergency services were called to the street in Cobden about 8.45pm yesterday. Early reports indicated that the incident involved a car and a cyclist. Police would like to speak to anyone who was in Bright St between 8.30pm and 8.45pm yesterday who may have seen the pedestrian before the crash.
