Woman dies after medical event in Christchurch police cellsIt's understood the 48-year-old suffered a medical event. A 48-year-old woman has died in the Christchurch Central Police cells after an apparent medical event. District Commander Superintendent John Price said officers went to wake the woman to give her breakfast about 6am on Friday to find she was unresponsive. "Our staff started doing CPR and then ambulance were called, but unfortunately she wasn't able to be revived," he said.
