A woman has admitted to harbouring young people who had fled custody, with police saying she let vulnerable children use her home as a base for their own offending. Pamela Dianne Tepurei​, a 32-year-old prostitute, pleaded guilty in the Palmerston North District Court on Tuesday to harbouring two young people who were in the custody of Ministry for Vulnerable Children Oranga Tamariki. The immediate chain of events leading to the harbouring charge began on August 21, when a Mazda Demio was stolen from a Palmerston North address. Police found a stolen Mazda Demio in Palmerston North, with two young people running away from it.
