Woman admits she assisted dealer to import meth into NZ

A woman has pleaded guilty to charges relating to the importation of methamphetamine hidden in packages marked as containing toys, chargers and African clothes. They were also found to be involved in the distribution of cocaine and MDMA. Investigators from NZ Customs established the syndicate imported legitimately declared packages containing meth into New Zealand. Akehurst was not directly involved in arranging this importation, but assisted Radford by having the package sent to her home in Christchurch. Akehurst asked Radford: “When’s that s... arriving at my house?” Radford responded: “It will be this week.”On August 30, Akehurst again communicated with Radford.
