PETALING JAYA: Nineteen Malaysians living in Mexico are safe from the massive earthquake that struck central Mexico on Tuesday, according to the Foreign Ministry. "The Embassy of Malaysia in Mexico City informed that four Malaysians residing in Mexico City are safe," it said in a statement on Wednesday. "Fifteen other Malaysians residing in other parts of Mexico are not near the affected areas," it said. The epicentre of the earthquake was at Axochiapan, a city in the state of Morelos, located 120km southeast of Mexico City. The tremors could be felt across the centre of Mexico, namely Mexico City, Puebla City, Cuajimalpa, Telixtac, Chautla and 90 other small towns.
