Shayna Wirihana won another open women's title at the Manawatū Strongest competition. A pair of Manawatū siblings have again been crowned the most powerful athletes at the Manawatū Strongest competition. Shayna won the overall women’s title, defending the title she won last year, while Eruera won the open men’s grade, holding off last year’s champion Jarna Mihaere. Ed Wirihana won the men’s masters competition and Mel Poa won the women’s. Warwick Smith/Stuff Eruera Wirihana was named the strongest man at the event.
