A delegation of Congress leaders from Rajasthan along with winners of the recent by-polls are scheduled to meet Congress national president Rahul Gandhi on Monday. Though the meeting is being billed as a ‘courtesy’ call between winning candidates and the party president, there will be a full house of the top state leadership also. “The candidates will be accompanied by state party president Sachin Pilot, party state in-charge Avinash Pandey, former chief minister Ashok Gehlot, party general secreary CP Joshi and leader of the opposition Rameshwar Dudi,” said a Congress leader. However,the seats of Alwar and Ajmer fell vacant following the untimely demise of BJP MPs Mahant Chandnath and Sanwarlal Jat. The winning candidates may thus get a role as symbols of the government’s failure.
