"We support the bandh called by the traders associations, but it was clarified on day one itself that our market will be closed for one day only. Today we are fully operational," said Khan Market Traders' Association president Sanjiv Mehra. Brajesh Goel from Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) said the response to call for bandh in Chandni Chowk was similar. Nearly 750 market associations and 20 industrial areas have extended support to the bandh. CAIT estimates a combined loss of Rs 3,600 crore to the businessmen because of trade being disrupted in the 48-hour bandh.
