DNA on Friday had it's first session of DNA Samwad on the pressing issue of redevelopment of old and dilapidated buildings in the city. With the rise in building collapse tragedies, the residents of these buildings live with the hope of redevelopment. Raj Purohit, BJP MLAThere are so many buildings where people are living in the fear of death. MHADA and BMC carried out inspection and listed 20,000 such buildings across the city. Urban Development Cell should be under additional municipal commissioner so that the issues with dilapidated buildings are handled effectively and in time.
