Besides the protected Punjab Urial, Jhelum is famous for flocks of migratory birds. The locals have called for action against Punjab Wildlife Department officials for allowing illegal hunting in the area. Concerned citizens told the Express Tribune that poaching was under way in different areas of Sohawa and Pind Dadan Khan with the collusion of the wildlife officials.
