LUKE KIRKEBY/ STUFF Tokoroa father of eight Darren Forrester died from an aggressive brain tumour in May. The saga started on April 1 when Darren was rushed to Tokoroa Hospital after smashing his head into the windscreen of his work truck when he crashed into a tree. "We had to then instead see a triage nurse but I demanded she get a referral so Darren could see a Waikato Hospital neurologist for an MRI. Tresna said that same day Darren's condition got so bad he was rushed to Tokoroa Hospital and then transferred to Waikato.
