Eight puppies were found dead in an Ashburton rubbish bin on Tuesday morning. Eight dead puppies, believed to be only a couple of days old, were dumped in a rubbish bin in Ashburton. The Ashburton SPCA posted an "urgent call for information" about the incident on Facebook on Tuesday. Ashburton centre manager Rebecca Dobson said the SPCA was calling for the public to come forward with any information about the puppies. It was the second case of puppies being dumped in a rubbish bin in the area in the past month.
