A sad incident occured in Migori county which led police to shoot dead an armed man who went berserk and threatened to kill his own family members. The incident which reportedly happened on Monday evening in Rongo sub county was chaotic as the 40-year old George Otieno tuned violent and threatened to harm his family. Family members stated that he turned to the family dog where he killed it, cut off its head and drank blood before stating to chew on the head.This forced his immediate family members comprising of his wives and children to run away before his brother ran to the nearest Kamagambo police station and reported the incident. “Police were forced to shoot in the air severally after our attempts and those from his family to tell the man to calm down failed,” Rongo police boss Okering told the media. He further stated the man tried to kill a police officer during the chaos which forced the officers to shoot him dead.The deceased body was taken to Rosewood hospital mortuary.
