Three in every 10 Kenyans who are currently jobless have never been employed, the latest poll by Tifa shows. The report released on Tuesday showed eight per cent who are currently jobless have been employed before. According to the report, majority of Kenyans who are working are self-employed at 29 per cent with only about one in 10 employed full-time. The report further shows 14 per cent are casual labourers or on part-time self-employment while four per cent are in part-time employment. "The vast majority of Kenyans thus survive on extremely modest incomes."
