Leopards have been struggling, both on and off the pitch, losing five consecutive games and have also struggled to lure fans to attend their matches at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. Speaking to Nation Sport on Thursday, the club’s Secretary General, Oscar Igaida said Bukhungu Stadium is seen as the best alternative as Nyayo Stadium, Ingwe's home ground, continues to undergo renovations. “We have today paid salaries to our players and their technical bench, just to motivate them as we expect a win in Kakamega on Saturday. AFC Leopards Kakamega branch chairman, Owen Musoma faulted western region leaders for doing little to save the struggling club from the current bad situation, terming the club as one of the unifying factors in community and the region.
