Regarding your editorial “Colorado’s Fracking Fright” (Sept. 21): Proposition 112 promotes sensible regulations on extreme oil operations in residential areas. Compare this to the $2.5 million contribution to Colorado’s 2018 elections by a single oil company. A recent explosion of a gas company pipeline in the Firestone neighborhood killed two and injured one in their home. A recent study from the Colorado School of Public Health found carcinogens increase dramatically near Colorado’s oil and gas facilities, exceeding the EPA’s upper threshold by more than 800%. The bigger the oil company money, the smaller the citizen.
