There won't be a resurrection for St. Anthony, and Bob Hurley Sr., the high school's iconic basketball coach, won't need one. Less than two weeks ago, the Archdiocese of Newark decided to shutter the Jersey City, N.J. school that had been open since 1952. Even though countless donors stepped up to fend off this reality, the Catholic high school near the Holland Tunnel will be no more after June 30. Along the way, he became the third high school basketball coach inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. He's already received a half dozen inquiries for high school jobs he won't take.
