Chelsea on Wednesday confirmed the appointment of Frank Lampard as caretaker manager until the end of the 2022/2023 season. Lampard returns for a second spell in charge, having previously managed Chelsea between July 2019 and January 2021, leading them to a top-four finish in 2019/20. The co-controlling owners, Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, stressed that the reason why the club hired Lampard back is that he is a legend in the club and an EPL Hall of Famer. Frank is a Premier League Hall of Famer and a legend at this club. He takes over a Chelsea side lying 11th in the table following the departure of Graham Potter last weekend.
