Your editorial totally, and sadly, misses the point. The problem with gun policy/control in the US lies in the misinterpretation of the Second Amendment. Since there is a less-than-zero chance of the US being invaded (from Mexico? the Second Amendment should, by all rights, be abrogated. That it has not been done so is a reflection on the country’s feckless politicians and, in this regard, a docile media.
