What indeed does freedom mean in the time of a public health emergency like a pandemic? I strongly believe that the pandemic has made us realise that freedom comes with certain responsibilities towards each other and our planet. My seven-year-old son asked me how will we have doctors for the next pandemic if children don’t go to school now. We must not take our relationships for granted and work to sustain and deepen them.What does freedom mean in the time of Covid? What does freedom mean when you are forced to flee your own home overnight?
