KUALA LUMPUR: An audio clip which made its rounds on social media, urging the public only to pay outstanding traffic summonses on November 15 to get a special discount, is a hoax. The public should not be influenced by unverified viral messages and should instead refer to the police's official portal (Traffic Information unit). The public have been urged to be vigilant and check on the validity of viral messages before spreading it to others. He had claimed that police would offer discounts on traffic summonses on Nov 15 this year. The man claimed that all traffic summonses would be reduced to a flat rate of RM30 on that particular date.
