His recent one about snowballs and where they were bought (“Snowballs, a cherished Baltimore tradition, make their annual visit,” May 25) evoked memories of my childhood and the icy confections. Summer brought the sound of a rumbling wooden cart and a cowbell ringing to signal the “Snowball Man,” as we called him, was coming. Neighborhood rumor had it that this savvy entrepreneur was able to pay his college tuition with his earnings from his humble snowball cart.
