While these are obviously stereotypes shaping perceptions, one of my missions is to break down barriers between scientists and the public. The #FollowThatScientist movement is a great opportunity to do that. CDCBefore I describe what #FollowThatScientist is, I want to place viewpoints on contemporary science in context. This brings me back to the #FollowthatScientist movement and its potential to "humanize" scientists and make their work accessible. Somewhere along the way, a scientist was "researching and developing" them for years through funding, support, and a lot of hard work.
