BorkenaToronto – Questions continue to emerge about the incident involving the alleged killing of a young man in North Shewa, Dera, Oromia region of Ethiopia. Numerous killings of children, women, and elders in the Oromia region have occurred without similar attention or concern from the government. The claims surrounding the Dera incident are primarily based on video footage. According to the government, “Fano forces beheaded a young man in Dera.” However, the video, which is less than two minutes long, does not show the act of beheading. A man is seen holding a knife and approaching the neck of a young man lying on the ground.
