Two tenants are lucky to be alive after a fire raged through their Coromandel home whilst they slept. Area Manager Mark Tinworth said the fire is believed to have been caused by a faulty dehumidifier that was left on overnight. “It appears that the smoke alarms installed in the house didn’t activate,” Tinworth said.
