West Asia’s blazes heat up the House View(s):By Sandun JayawardanaThe war raging in West Asia and its adverse impact on Sri Lanka was uppermost in the minds of lawmakers as the conflict entered its third week. Turning to the economic impact, Sri Lanka has two key economic sources centred on West Asia, President Dissanayake explained. Currently, refined fuel is supplied to Sri Lanka through companies based in Singapore and India. A furnace oil tender was awarded, and the shipment expected on the 12th and 13th of April. An aviation fuel tender too was awarded, with delivery expected on the 10th and 11th of April.
